Shelter Wolf Adopted By Human And Now She’s Such A Good Girl

You may not believe wild animals could live with us humans in harmony, but this incredibly good girl will blow your mind. Meet Kira, a charming wolf who was abandoned by her own mother and is now living a fantastic life with her human mom and her 7-year-old human brother.

Kira’s biological mother used to live with humans too, but that family failed to take care of her. They surrendered her to a shelter and Kira, as well as her siblings, were born there. Unfortunately, these tiny critters were all rejected by the inexperienced, untrusting mama only a few days after they came to this work.

Without the love and care of her mom, Kira’s fate was called into question. Thankfully, a Russian woman named Alida had come to the rescue. The kind woman took her in and did everything she could so Kira would be able to enjoy a worry-free life as a domesticated animal since releasing her back to the wild was pretty dangerous for the lone wolf.

“If released into the wild, there’s a high probability she will die since no one taught her to hunt,” Alida said. “Kira’s mother abandoned her babies when they were 3 days old and in the nursery, so they were fed by hand. And I took her away as soon as Kira got stronger and also first fed her with milk.”

Of course training a wolf isn’t easy, but Alida has tried her best. She has worked really hard so that Kira could communicate and interact with other people and animals just like a normal dog.

“I took her from the nursery when she was 28 days old. She is smart but very stubborn. When making decisions, she focuses on herself, not me. From the very beginning, I began the process of her socialization. She saw a huge number of dogs, people, and children,” the woman shared.

According to Alida, Kira has an innate neophobia (a fear of everything new) just like other wolves so she often lets the doubtful girl explore new places to learn about different scenes, smells, and sounds. It’s a long process, but now the furry gal is amazingly good at dealing with this world.

“Upbringing, too, had its problems, but with age, it all goes away and the work bears fruit—Kira has a stable and mild psyche, does not react to aggression from other dogs, and does not provoke conflicts herself. She treats children very carefully and if the child is afraid of her, she doesn’t approach him,” Alida continued.

Kira is now the happiest doggo out there! Just follow her on Instagram to keep up with her fabulous life and see more of her delightful moments.

And last but not least, don’t forget to share her uplifting story with your loved ones!
