Learn To Flawlessly Wash Your Hands With Sandra The Orangutan

Are you sure you’re washing your hands properly? In fact, this simple task requires a bit more technique than we thought and many people are just doing it wrong daily. But don’t worry, if you are willing to learn, Sandra the orangutan is right here to help you out.

This charming primate has gone viral lately after a video of Sandra herself faultlessly washing her hands with a brush at Center for Great Apes was shared on social media and attracted tons of love. During this tough time, hand washing is undoubtedly an essential skill that we all need to learn to stay safe and thankfully, Sandra has mastered it.

“Most orangutans love to play in the water, it’s great enrichment for them and they enjoy washing their toys (and themselves)!” Center for Great Apes captioned under their clip on YouTube. “She definitely scrubbed her hands for longer than 20 seconds, good job Sandra!”

It seems like Sandra has a really great time enjoying herself right there. After being done with her hands, she even starts to clean her enclosure… until she suddenly feels bored and decides that she has had enough. Such a humorous girl!

According to the zookeepers, despite her delightful expression, Sandra used to suffer a rough life. After being born at Rostock Zoologischer Garten in Germany, she spent most of her life living alone in Buenos Aires. It’s not until Center for Great Apes took her in two years ago that the 33-year-old girl finally have 22 other orangutans around to befriend her and warm her heart.

Needless to say, Sandra is now living a fabulous life where she is adored and appreciated!
