Warm-Hearted Man Adopts 5 Young Siblings From Foster Care So They Aren't Separated

Robert Carter is a great man. He decided to be a single dad in December 2019. The warm-hearted man adopted three young boys named Robert Jr., Giovanni, and Kiontae. His road to fatherhood officially began and has brought him a lot of precious experiences.

The single dad later learned that the boys had two sisters, Marionna and Makayla. They lived in the same foster care system but went to separate homes. The siblings hadn't seen each other for six months.

When Robert brought the brothers to the foster home to see their sisters, all burst out crying. They all missed their siblings and didn't want to separate from each other.
There was something that tightened inside when the single dad saw that scene. He could feel what the siblings felt as he used to live in foster care. He even had 9 siblings and didn’t see his youngest brother from the time he was two until he was sixteen. This hurt.

Siblings are very important for children in foster care homes. They are the only people whom they find comfort. Their sibling's presence helps them adjust to their new living environment.

Robert couldn't see 5 siblings separate from each other. They didn't want them to suffer the pain of separation. And, he decided to expand his family, adopting Marionna and Makayla on October 30, 2020.
“They didn’t want to leave each other, and at that moment, I knew, ok, I have to adopt all five,” he said.

The family of 4 became the family of 6. Stacey Martin, case manager for the adoption said she had never seen a single dad adopt five siblings before. It got her astonished. But she knew it was Robert's perfect decision the moment she saw the family together.

Raising 5 children is not an easy thing. But Robert finds it worth it. The siblings finally reunite with each other and live in a house together. This might be their dream, and this time the dream comes true thanks to their great dad, Robert Carter.
