People In An Indonesian Tribe Have Unique Blue Eyes Due To A Rare Genetic Condition

With more than 17,000 islands, Indonesia is considered to be the largest archipelago in the world. There is a small island named Buton, where some local people have a rare genetic condition known as Waardenburg syndrome that can cause deafness and change colors of skin, hair, and eyes. In the case of these people, the disorder causes their eye color to turn dazzling blue.
Korchnoi Pasaribu is a geologist who has captured the mesmeric eyes of these indigenous people and posted the photos on his Instagram account. As you can see in the pics that we have collected below, the Waardenburg syndrome may affect both or only one eye. The color is so unique that it’s like we are looking at deep oceans. A person may get lost in those captivating eyes for centuries.
