Perdita is a 4-year-old domestic shorthair who was taken to Mitchell County Animal Rescue in North Carolina after her owner’s passing. When meeting her for the first time, shelter owners thought that they would have trouble looking for a home for her. Perdita was aggressive and didn’t want to make friends with anyone. Besides, her grumpy looking and unfriendly personality make people scared and aloof her.

When everything was difficult for staff at the shelter and Perdita, an unorthodox ad has helped them deal with the problem. Knowing that traditional ways couldn’t help the angry cat find a home, so they decided to make them more creative. Instead of putting flowery words in her ad, they came up with this flyer full of honest description. For them, honesty is the best policy. And thankfully, the ad worked and even went beyond everyone’s expectation.
Here is the hilarious ad posted on Facebook

Although the shelter gave not-so-shining description of Perdita’s behavior, the ad went viral and got the attention of people from around the world. Many adoption applications were sent to the shelter, and the staff considered carefully to help the cat find a suitable home. Not only did the ad help this grumpy cat find a loving home, but it also made her a star.

While some commenters were amused by the cat adoption ad, just as many were sympathetic for Perdita. Everyone is sure that the bad cat is confused and heartbroken after losing her owner and being taken to a new home she didn’t know. Some other commenters shared their stories of adopting aggressive cats in the shelter but turned out to be friendly and affectionate companions. They believd that it is possible the same will happen with Perdita.
