Brave Mama Dog Took Care Of Six Puppies In A Small Cardboard Box

Maternal love is one of the most beautiful things that happen to our world and it’s also widespread in the animal kingdom. Yes, just like humans, animals deeply care for their offspring too. Even though they are just some strays wandering on the streets with no safe place to head to, they still love their babies with everything they have.
This wonderful dog mother was spotted looking after six pups in a tiny cardboard box near a car. She was clearly afraid of humans, maybe because of some terrible experience in her past. A few kind residents nearby intended to help, but she didn’t want anyone to approach her and her puppies and only accepted a little of their food when she was really hungry. Eventually, the residents decided to call a local rescue to see what they could do.

Milan Stojanovic – the founder of Dog Rescue Shelter Mladenovac, Serbia quickly drove over to their home after hearing about the pitiful dog, and he was amazed by what he saw.
“She was very scared and brave at the same time. She took care of her six babies in such a small cardboard box. She is such a good mother,” he said.

Milan tried to lure the sweet girl with food, but unfortunately it didn’t seem to work. She didn’t eat much, refused to leave her hideout and he couldn’t manage to put the leash around her neck either, so he had no choice but to change his plan a bit. He dragged the box so the mama was forced to run away, and then he got her puppies first in the hope that she would come to them.

The dog mama watched Milan taking her pups one by one from a distance and barked quietly in distress, but didn't attempt to attack him. It seemed like she had decided to take a chance on this man.
After a while of petting her gently, trying to gain her trust, Milan finally captured the dog successfully. He also let the puppies stayed with their mom while driving to the shelter.

It’s safe to say the strong mom and her babies are all in good hands now. Even though she is still a bit shy and cautious, time, as well as plenty of love and care, will fix that.
