13 Actors Who Seem to Never Land Truly Great Roles Despite Their Talent

Some actors are artists of their craft, earning critical acclaim, audience adoration, and tons of awards and nominations. These actors are so celebrated they become the pinnacle of the movie industry. Which makes them the A-listers of Hollywood.
But that doesn’t mean all A-list actors are so talented at acting.
There are certain actors that seem to be famous for a lot of things, except for their acting. Not only do these actors have not had any major acting gigs in a long time, but also got ignored by movie lovers.
Whether it’s because of constant bad choices in their acting projects, lots of blockbuster bombs, or just shifting their focus to other venues and careers, these actors are all but forgotten… in their roles as actors that is. Some still have a lot of star power. They just choose not to use it in acting.
So, who are these dishonorable actors? Take a look at the 13 most overly hyped actors right now.

#1 Amber Heard

Unfortunately, the actress does not have any notable parts in films that might earn her an award. Despite her beauty, none of her roles are as brilliant. With her lawsuit with Johnny Depp, we won’t be seeing Amber Heard in movies any time soon.

#2 Scott Eastwood

Despite the fact that the actor inherited his father's handsome features, he lacks the same excellent and iconic acting jobs. He has been in major films such as Suicide Squad, Pacific Rim: Uprising, and The Fate of the Furious, yet he is only cast in unmemorable minor roles.

#3 Amanda Bynes

The actress had a promising start to her career: after appearing on Nickelodeon in All That at a young age, she began doing popular adolescent comedies and dramas, with hits like Hairspray and She’s The Man. However, due to mental health issues, she has now retired from acting.

#4 Taylor Lautner

Despite the legion of fans pining for Team Jocab, most people remember Taylor Lautner for his jacked body and for taking off his shirt. However, most of his acting jobs since Twilight have been panned by critics and audiences alike.

#5 Jennifer Lopez

People thought Jennifer Lopez would have a successful acting career when she first debuted on screen in Selena. However, her film credits are pretty meh. Then there are some rather infamous films there as well, such as Gigli. At least she does have a singing career to fall back on.

#6 Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne is really pretty, and her acting chop is pretty decent, yet she has never had any major projects in a while. One of her most well-known acting credits was in the film Suicide Squad, which earned mixed reviews from reviewers and moviegoers alike. The same was true with Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, in which she played the lead as well. Not looking good, Cara!

#7 Jennifer Love Hewitt

Aside from romantic comedies, this actress has no big roles that have pleased either regular moviegoers or critics. Hewitt ranks first among actresses who frequently appear in bad movies – to the point that not a single picture she was in received a good review.

#8 Rob Schneider

Viewers are likely to recognize Rob Schneider from comedies such as The Hot Chick and Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, both of which have become cult classics. However, not a single picture starring Schneider has received more than 54% on Metacritic, which is not a stellar record for a world-famous performer.

#9 David Arquette

Being on the Scream franchise was the most successful endeavor of David Arquette's career. Unfortunately, this was his sole notable job; the rest of his acting credits are rather forgettable.

#10 Christian Slater

We have definitely seen Christian Slater in many movies and TV shows but can’t recall any of his memorable roles. That is because he only plays unmemorable supporting roles. And many of the actor’s films haven’t received high ratings.

#11 January Jones

Even though she was excellent in Mad Men, most of her performances, particularly in films, fail to elicit any feeling from the audience. In fact, at times, they were considered rather contentious, such as her part as Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class.

#12 Charlie Day

This actor is well-known and loved for his role in the television series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but he has not had much success in the film industry. Day's characters in Horrible Bosses, Fist Fight, and Going the Distance were all over-the-top and unmemorable at best. Yikes!

#13 Kevin James

Most people know him from the smash comedy Hitch, but this was hardly a great performance. Kevin always plays the role of a clumsy, well-meaning, oversized guy. And when he tried to change his image by filming a thriller, fans were left unimpressed.
