Cristiano Ronaldo Could MISS Portugal's Final Group-Stage Encounter Against South Korea Due To 'Missing Training'

Cristiano Ronaldo could NOT feature for Portugal in their final group-stage clash against South Korea, as coach Fernando Santos confirm the forward is "50/50" after missing training.

The 37-year-old was absent from training on the previous day and he was training in the gym with the machine instead of with his teammates
Coach Santos has addressed the question about Ronaldo missing training and claimed that he might not be set for a selection in the match against South Korea.
"Let's see. In principle, Ronaldo will train soon. If you're in a position. I don't even know if it's 50/50 [the probability of being fit for the game]. If you train normally.

'Cristiano Ronaldo was replaced in both games. There's a plan in case Cristiano can't play. There is no player guaranteed to play at all times. It would hardly run if we didn't have a plan," said the boss Santos.

Still, Ronaldo was not the only player who miss training, Porto midfielder Otavio and PSG duo Danilo Pereira and Numo Mendes missed out too. The former underwent recovery work and the latter pair was under their own injury treatments.

The former Manchester United star has been set at the start of both matches so far at this World Cup tournament but was eventually replaced on both occasions.
If Ronaldo starts or comes in from the bench, he will have an opportunity to equal Portuguese icon Eusebio's long-standing second of nine World Cup scores -with the striker already believed that he had done so on Monday.

It was also a raising debate over whether Ronaldo managed to add to his tally against Uruguay. Because the forward claimed his country's first goal of the night, after believing he had reached Bruno Fernades' cross in the air to head past Sergio Rochet, though, it later transpired he had not created any contact.
Santos also requested FIFA to give Ronaldo the first goal, saying: "I don't know anyone from FIFA (laughs), nor did the national team ask."

Ronaldo who is now a free agent after his interview with Piers Morgan prior to the 2022 World, scored a penalty in the 3-2 victory over Ghana, but then failed to hit the back of the net in the 2-0 win over Uruguay.
