We Might Never See Johnny Depp Play Jack Sparrow In Pirates Of The Caribbean Again

According to reports, Johnny Depp won't be playing Captain Jack Sparrow in any future installments of the Pirates of the Caribbean series. If this information is accurate, it would be disappointing. The Daily Mail reports this information, and I have to add that I sincerely hope that this is not the truth. However, unless Disney makes the movie star a really generous offer of payment, I believe it to be true.
According to a rumor, Depp's name has been seen on a call sheet for a new installment of the enormously successful film series. Following the announcement that he will be returning to his role as Captain Jack Sparrow despite being fired from the franchise by Disney in 2018, a flurry of rumors began to circulate online on Wednesday.

What was first reported, and why do some believe Disney is developing a new Pirates of the Caribbean film starring Johnny Depp? A Day At the Sea is the working title of the sixth installment in the franchise, a source informed The Sun. They asserted that:
"Johnny is set to return as Captain Jack Sparrow and is scheduled to start filming at the beginning of February at a top-secret location in the UK. Everything is in the early stages, and there is still no director attached to the project, which is being called A Day At The Sea. Johnny is expected to do a test shoot in early February before the production gets fully underway. A call sheet has been distributed among those in the know. Bruce Hendricks, who worked on the first three films, is named as the Executive Producer on the new project."
The Daily Mail, however, asserts that The Sun's allegation is false and that Depp is not going to reprise his role as Jack Sparrow. Which outlet turns out to be accurate will have to be determined in the end. All of this comes after it was made public that Disney had canceled the Margot Robbie Pirates movie, which is actually not that shocking.
Dead Men Tell No Tales was the final time Depp portrayed Jack Sparrow. The creators of that movie then announced its release in 2017. Disney made the decision to cut ways with Depp and stated that they wanted to infuse the wildly successful film franchise with "fresh dynamism."
The general assumption was that Depp's ex-wife's allegations that she suffered domestic abuse while she was married to Johnny were more of a factor in Disney's decision to cut ways with the actor. Since Depp defeated Amber Heard in a highly public defamation lawsuit, it appears as though the actor's fortunes are changing.
He's getting movie roles once more, and there have been rumors that Disney gave the actor a large sum of money to play Captain Jack Sparrow once more. It appears, though, that those rumors weren't entirely true.
