16 Celebrities Show Off Their Children's Epic Playrooms

There are several ways to handle the chaos that comes with having kids who seem to accumulate roughly one million toys, books, craft supplies, and other assorted plastic crap before they even reach the toddler stage. Some mothers make it work in apartments where the number of people outnumbers the number of bedrooms, while others live in old houses with a lot of charm but no closet space. But that's a far cry for mothers who are celebrities.
Celebrity mothers tend to possess the triple blessings of space, money, and access to professional home decorators and organizers, allowing them to have playrooms that are more than functional and fun. Given that celebs seem to change houses as frequently as some of us visit the dentist, some of these examples may not be our favorite celebs' current playrooms, but that doesn't make them any less fabulous. For example, Eddie Murphy's playroom is old, yet it sports a fully functional bowling alley adjacent to it.
In this post, we curate 16 celebrities' dreamy playrooms of their children. They will motivate you to elevate the play space for your children right away. Scroll down and check them out.

#1 Christine Chiu

Christine Chiu, star of Netflix's Bling Empire and a recent Dancing With the Stars contestant, went all out for her son Gabriel's playroom. The room has a mural of iconic Los Angeles landmarks that Gabriel can color in as he grows, and he already has a mini Tesla to pretend he's cruising down the 405 freeway.

#2 Cristiano Ronaldo

With five children, international soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo's family most likely makes the most of their expansive playroom. This room has a soft carpet, a green velvet couch, and, best of all, an indoor bounce house!

#3 Eddie Murphy

Eddie Murphy has a history of major real estate deals, including a home called Bubble Hill, which included this massive playroom as well as a bowling alley and an outdoor park area with a kid-friendly playground. Eddie has a total of ten children, so it's no surprise he made time for fun. The Daddy Daycare star sold this property to another famous parent, Alicia Keys, in 2012. There has been no word on whether the bowling alley and playroom are still active, but we hope so.

#4 Gigi Hadid

For model Gigi Hadid, who has a 1-year-old daughter named Khai, every day is taking your daughter to work day. Gigi revealed how she divided her office into two sections to create a sweet space for Khai, complete with a mini ball pit, a cozy tent, and plenty of soft stuffed animals to snuggle with.

#5 Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow's children are mostly grown, but that doesn't mean we can't swoon over her spotless Hamptons playroom from 2017. This was the organizing team's favorite playroom design project of all time, according to The Home Edit. "We divided the room into activities on the left and leisure on the right, and created zones for reading, games, art, crafts, and science," the designers explained.

#6 John Legend & Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, like many other parents during the pandemic, had to find homeschooling options for their children. They were able to set up this dreamlike playroom/preschool design for their daughter, Luna, and her little learning pod, unlike many other parents. Who wouldn't want to learn the alphabet in such a great location?

#7 Kevin & Danielle Jonas

Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle chose a "girly glam" theme for their playroom, which Vanessa Antonelli designed. We really like the gray and pink color scheme, which is both feminine and not overpowering for two young daughters.

#8 Kim Kardashian

We all know that Kim Kardashian is known for her passion for harsh minimalist spaces, but her home has a much softer side to it. Her children's playroom is huge, with enough toys to keep an entire preschool happy. We can't deny that we're jealous of her storage, color-coded Lego, massive closet, and the fact that she has staff to do all of the picking up at night.

#9 Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian revealed a sneak peek of her kids' standalone playhouse in 2019. It was designed by her ex-husband Scott Disick and designated as a no-electronics zone to encourage creative, unplugged play. If that space had a bathroom, she could probably rent it out for thousands of dollars per month as a dreamy studio apartment.

#10 Lucy Liu

Anyone who believes that a playroom must be filled with plastic toys or painted an overly bright primary color should take a look at Lucy Liu's ultra-modern playroom for her son, Rockwell. This space creates calm and is definitely somewhere an adult would want to hang out.

#11 Mindy Kaling

This is more of a sneak peek into Mindy Kaling's playroom, and we like what we see. She is one of the celebrities who has worked with The Home Edit, though not on one of their Netflix episodes. That's a bummer, as we'd love to see the rest of this wonderful space.

#12 Molly Sims

Molly Sims, a model mom with three children, has embraced her reality, as evidenced by the cheeky "happy mess" wall sign in the white room with strong red accents. We know all the parents who need more storage space are swooning over all that built-in storage and shelves.

#13 Nicky Hilton Rothschild

We're not sure what we love more about this playroom for Nicky Hilton's daughters: the striped ceiling, the super-cute candy box wall clings, or the fact that an entire wall is covered in Lego plates to allow for vertical building. So great entertainment!

#14 Serena Williams

Serena Williams joked on Instagram once, "Sometimes I have to throw my hands up in the air. #thismama Used to have a living room. Now I just have a playroom." Though she appeared to miss her old space, we still think this playroom is absolutely epic. We see high ceilings, a beautiful rug, a cozy couch, and plenty of space.

#15 Tyler Hubbard

Tyler Hubbard, a member of the Florida Georgia Line duo, was featured in the second season of The Home Edit for his transformation of this playroom. The space used to be an adult-friendly wet bar and hangout zone, but it's now a cheerful and bright playroom for his three kids, so it'll no doubt get a lot of use.
