8 Celebs Who Treated Their Fans Like Trash

With all different types of celebrity comes a fandom—even stars who are disliked by many still have support groups online singing their praises. One day you could be a nobody, then the next there's social media accounts created in your honor. But how do these stars react when they come face-to-face with those who worship the ground they walk on?
Then there are others who have been caught on camera having a very different reaction. They shunned their fans, have cyberbullied them online, called them out on the street and even, in some cases, physically assaulted them. These are the times when these celebs got nasty with those who they should actually be really thankful for.

The damsel from the 1997 film Titanic reportedly ignored villagers who had waited hours in the rain to meet her during a 2012 movie promotion with Kate Winslet. Shanna Swan, a local resident, shared with OK!, "[Winslet was] so rude, she never once acknowledged any of us, I was devastated. She gave dirty looks to people in my town who waited hours to see her."

2. Mike Myers

Mike Myers was allegedly observed by a fan in a bar acting more like Shrek (2001) than Love Guru (2008). The fan told Mean Stars, "Prior to paying our tab, I walked over [to Myers] and said, 'Hey Mike, I'm a big fan, can I buy you a beer?'"
"And without even turning to look at me, he says, "I can afford my own drinks a**hole, save your money for my next movie,'" the fan continued.

3. Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx, who starred in the 2012 film Django Unchained, had an unpleasant experience with one Redditor. The user shared: "Several years ago, when Stealth [2005] was coming out, they held the premiere at the Naval Air Station in San Diego. They gave a few tickets to the event to the ships that were in port at the time and I was lucky enough to get a pair. Before the showing of the movie, everyone was mingling around and socializing. Jessica Biel, Josh Lucas, the director, producers, and everyone else involved in the picture were very gracious and friendly. Everyone, that is, except Jamie Foxx, who sat in his seat the entire time with his sunglasses on and didn't want to be bothered...He could've shook some hands and been cordial, but he didn't."

4. Scarlett Johansson

Fans of Scarlett Johansson were furious with her after she abandoned them. A fan alleged on Reddit that they had been waiting for autographs at the stage exit after seeing a Scarlett Johansson-starring play with at least fifteen other individuals.
"It was February in NYC, snowing hard, we were all freezing. Each one of her co-stars came out and signed… Scarlett was the very last to exit and she completely ignored everybody. I was younger and it completely crushed me, she was my favorite celebrity and this was my only chance to ever see her. Pretty much everyone who waited 45+ minutes beside me had the same sentiments."

5. Madonna

The Queen of Pop is known for treating her devoted subjects with cruelty. One Reddit user saw Madonna write “f**k you” rather than signing an autograph for a fan. That clearly wasn’t the only case, as the Daily Mail writes that Madge chastised fans for having the audacity to be angry when she arrived more than an hour late for a concert in Manchester, England, in December 2015, addressing the crowd, "All you b****es who keep complaining about it can shut the f**k up... If you diva b****es want to keep complaining about it don't come to my show."
She once humiliated a fan at a different show who was too star-struck to sing along with her. It seems that music doesn't really bring people together.

6. Jared Leto

One Thirty Seconds to Mars devotee no longer worships Jared Leto. "The band was autographing things after the show, so I waited in line. They all talked amongst themselves as they absentmindedly signed autographs," an unlucky fan shared with Thought Catalog. "When I got to Jared Leto, I said, 'Hey, that was a great show!' He responded, 'I signed your s**t, now f**k off!'"

7. Laurence Fishburne

According to a Mean Stars report from the Mystic River (2003) set, Laurence Fishburne doesn't seem to enjoy taking time out of his hectic schedule to thank some of his followers.
One fan shared, “When I was 16 or 17, my friend and I got to visit the set of Mystic River...We met all of the lead actors except for Laurence Fishburne, and the assistant went to find him. She discovered that he was in a trailer nearby, so she brought us over to the trailer and knocked on the door. When the assistant told Fishburne there were some high school students who'd like to meet him, his reply was, "'Tell 'em to go f**k themselves.'”

8. Sandra Bullock

Given her reputation as America's sweetheart, Sandra Bullock surprised one fan who was looking for an autograph by acting inappropriately. When a fan approached Bullock to sign something in December 2012, a source informed Star (via Celebrity Dirty Laundry) that Bullock became enraged.
"Sandra was so rude. She covered her face and yelled," the spy said. "He just wanted an autograph, and she actually yelled at him!" To make the whole matter even worse: the fan was reportedly a wheelchair-bound veteran. Yikes.
