Players Who Scored In 6 Consecutive World Cup Matches, No One Named Ronaldo!

Olivier Giroud scored twice for France on November 23 against Australia in a Group D match that France won 4-1, tying the record for most goals scored in a single game for the French national team. Similarly, each of these four players has scored at least one goal in their nation's most recent six matches at the FIFA World Cup.

The renowned Italian striker Paolo Rossi scored six goals and was named the tournament's most valuable player after leading Italy to victory at the 1982 FIFA World Cup. Along with Garrincha in 1962 and Mario Kempes in 1978, Rossi is one of three players to win all three honors at a World Cup.
In 1982, he won the World Cup in Spain and the Ballon d'Or for his incredible performance. Their extraordinary run of performances for their country at the World Cup was never repeated. He passed away in 2020, but not before entering the Italian Hall of Fame.
