#1 Hermione might be Harry’s sister

Harry and Hermione have always had a good relationship, and they often behave like a brother and a sister. Here is a theory that James and Lily actually had two children: a boy and a girl. But for some reason, the girl was adopted by the Grangers. If this theory is correct, then it's clear why Harry and Hermione have never had any romance between them.

#2 Credence is Snape’s grandfather

Credence Barebone is thought to be Voldemort’s father and even Snape’s grandfather. Snape was born into a family of a witch and a muggle. His mother, Eileen Prince, was born in the 1930s, and based on the events described in "Fantastic Beasts" which took place in 1926, fans think that Credence might be Eileen Prince's father. So, Credence Barebone might be Snape’s grandfather.

#3 Harry Potter is a distant relative of Godric Gryffindor

In "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", Harry is accused of possibly having a relationship with Salazar Slytherin due to his ability to communicate with snakes. But in fact, it might actually be very different. Some fans think that Harry Potter is not an heir of Slytherin but of Gryffindor. The theory is based on the fact that the boy finally defeated the true heir of Slytherin - Tom Riddle, and ended the old conflict between the founders of Hogwarts.

#4 Mary Poppins's also a Hogwarts graduate

Mary Poppins may actually be a Hogwarts graduate who decided to return to the Muggle world after graduating. In order not to completely give up on magic, she hid her wand in an umbrella, just like Hagrid did. And in the last book, she also uses flying magic and wears a bag just like Hermione's.

#5 There’s a reason why wizards hide from muggles

One of the story's major mysteries is the rationale for why magicians must hide from smugglers. The wizards have the ability to dominate the whole globe, but they choose to stay in the dark. Some fans said that the wizards lost in the battle with the muggles a long time ago. At the end of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", the Ministry of Magic tells the Prime Minister that dragons are imported into the country. So muggles are not as simple as one might think.

In "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", Aragog reveals to Harry Potter that he came from a far land in a pocket of a traveler. Additionally, it is well known that Newt Scamander visited all five continents while researching fantastical creatures before returning to Hogwarts. If this is true, we might actually see Newt giving Aragog to Hagrid in the next film.

#7 Hagrid doesn’t have a lot of good memories

In one of her interviews, J. K. Rowling said that J. Hagrid was dismissed from Hogwarts before he had a chance to master the Patronus charm. But fans disagree with her assessment, believing that the real reason Hagrid lacks a Patronus is that he lacks the positive memories necessary to cast one.

#8 Hagrid couldn’t have children

Additionally, some fans believe that Rubeus Hagrid is unable of having children. From the books, we know that Hagrid's mother was a giant, and his father was a wizard. Even though this union brought us the beloved Hagrid, he is still a hybrid and can't have children.

In "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", Trelawney tells Harry Potter that his birthday falls in the middle of winter. Everyone made fun of her since they knew the son who lived was a summer baby. However, Tom Riddle’s birthday was December 31. Maybe through Harry Potter, she saw a glimpse of some of his soul. If so, Dumbledore made a wise choice in hiring her.

One of Dumbledore's biggest mistakes was probably hiring the egotistical Professor Lockhart. However, fans came up with an explanation for why Dumbledore would have done this. They believed that Albus had employed Gilderoy Lockhart to expose the real Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher to the world. We already know the result: he showed his cowardice just when he was in real danger, which led to the demise of his career.
