The Swedish LGBTQ teen drama is currently one of the most trending series on Netflix worldwide. It focuses on the romance of two young highschoolers, Prince Wilhelm of Sweden and Simon, a passionate middle-class singer. Following the success of the second season, there are also multiple questions around the Young Royals cast.

#1. A Brief Of What Happened In Young Royals Season 2

At the finale of the first season, Wilhelm was forced to lie about his appearance in the leaked sex tape on an international interview. More than that, his mother, Queen Kristina of Sweden also requested that he could not let other people see him and Simon together. All of these combined did greatly bother Simon who has always been bold and proud of who he was. 
In the second season, the Prince acknowledges that August, his cousin, is actually the one who leaked the infamous video. He decides not to tell Simon and punishes August by his own way. The couple also take a break from each other and Simon has been seeing Marcus, a regular boy just like him. However, they never actually forget about what they have had.
In the last episode, they agree to get through everything together. On top of that, Wilhelm also makes a big announcement, stating he and Simon were in that tape. The second season ended here and further story stays unknown until Young Royals season 3 premiere.

#2. Starring Actors From The Young Royals Cast Season 2: Who Are They?

The series stars Edvin Ryding as Prince Wilhelm and Omar Rudberg as Simon Eriksson. They are both potential young actors in Sweden with notable careers at young ages. Ryding was a child actor and started acting when he was 8. He is also a voice actor, dubbing English language films and shows in Swedish including High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Don't Look Up, Mr. Peabody & Sherman and Paddington. Among ages of the Young Royals cast, he is the youngest, only 19 this year.

Rudberg is a Venezuelan-Swedish musician and actor. Unlike his costar, Simon is his debut role. Previously, he joined the boyband  FO&O from 2013 and 2017 and has released a studio album, an extended play and multiple singers. He came out as a part of the LGBTQ community in 2019. The actor was born in 1997 and is currently 25. Meanwhile his role in the series is only 16. 
On Instagram pages of the stars of Young Royals, they often show their support towards each other. The couple also share funny moments on and off the set of the series. Apparently, they are really good friends in real life. Moreover, they also attended several photoshoots and interviews together as the leading and rising actors of the show. In a TV interview, Rugberg shared that he had believed that he would be cast as the Prince. However, the moment he met Ryding, he changed his mind and insisted that the 19-year-old actor would be the Prince. Surprisingly, he was right from this moment. Both of them have given their best performances in the first two seasons and hopefully, they will reunite in a potential season 3.
