16 Incredible Behind-the-Scene Pictures That Show What Really Happens On Movie Sets

Have you ever noticed that no matter how absurd something seems to be in a dream, you still believe it? Interestingly enough, the same holds for movies. Sometimes we become so engrossed in a movie that a flying man, a wizard, or talking aliens don't seem at all outlandish.
The amount of activity on a film set that the director of photography may capture is limited. After all, they're designed to convince us of the impossibility. The crew members are working incredibly hard to fulfill the director's wishes and their conception of the plot, including the art department, the effects team, and other crew members. To make the production as jaw-dropping as possible, they spent months or even years making everything from a life-size animatronic shark to a levitating pen.
The audience won't necessarily eat whatever is served to them, though. Realistic illusion creation is more difficult than it appears. For those who are curious, the majority of movie DVDs include a behind-the-scenes part that explains how the producers were able to trick you. Even then, though, the 'real' creation of the movie is rarely revealed.
Below are 16 behind-the-scene pics of some of the most iconic movies for you to get a bigger picture of how these incredible scenes are made.
