Taylor Swift Broke Spotify After Releasing The 'Midnight' Album
Taylor Swift's tenth album: Midnights has certainly caused a craze among her admirers, who have been up until the wee hours of the morning listening to it. However, Spotify just crashed immediately when Taylor released the Midnight album.
Fans felt disappointed when this popular music streaming service Spotify suddenly appeared to fail, fuming many of them.
The singer has been secretly re-recording her first six studio albums for the past two years while also releasing Folklore and Evermore during the lockdown. Taylor, 32, has since made a comeback to the music industry with 13 new songs, much to the joy of her millions of devoted fans.
Spotify is indeed down for many of its users. As per Down Detector at the time of writing, over 8,000 of the app’s users have reported outages in the past hour.
Many users who took to Twitter have reported that Spotify’s search feature isn’t working for them.
“Why can’t I search anything on Spotify,” one baffled user wrote.
“I cant search anything on Spotify rn,” complained another.
“The way my Spotify is broken and won’t let me search for a song I want and I know EXACTLY why,” a third frustrated user said.
“Browse stopped working on the Spotify app for me,” one person said.
“How the hell is the browse feature on Spotify broken,” another irritated user wrote.
Thankfully for users, the outage was short lived and they were treated to the album moments later - much to their delight. Comments quickly turned more positive with fans having long debates among themselves about which tune is already their favorite.
Taylor released a series of TikTok videos, called Midnights Mayhem With Me. This series went on to reveal the track list for Midnights, which Taylor claims will "tell the stories of thirteen sleepless nights scattered throughout my life".
