Why do we need to laugh together as a family? I've always felt that this is important. How can we use humor to create a more cheerful, upbeat, encouraging, and healthy atmosphere in our home?

Humor and laughter are extremely important elements of a happy and healthy family life. In fact, we regard them as one of the five characteristic marks of any genuinely thriving family: conversation, laughter, time spent together, prayer, and regular family dinners . What’s more, we’d suggest that laughter is one of the easiest and most fun ways to help your family thrive.

Every family experiences a variety of emotions. Yes, there are disagreements and clashes, but there are also loving moments when everyone is rooting for the other person. Then there are the family members with the best senses of humor who constantly make their loved ones laugh, such as dads who pull the silliest pranks and dad jokes or mothers who are sarcastic on their children's social media pages.
